Chinese Panda Gold Bullion Coin

The Chinese Panda Gold Bullion Coin is a very popular series of pure, .999 gold bullion coins produced by the People’s Republic of China. The Chinese Panda Gold Bullion Coin began production in 1982, and is produced in several mints across China, including Beijing, Shenzhen, Shenyang, and Shanghai. The Chinese Panda Gold Bullion Coin has been issued in a variety of sizes: the 1/20 ounce Chinese Panda Gold Bullion Coin, the 1/10 ounce Chinese Panda Gold Bullion Coin, the 1/4 ounce Chinese Panda Gold Bullion Coin, the 1/2 ounce Chinese Panda Gold Bullion Coin, and the 1 ounce Chinese Panda Gold Bullion Coin. On certain years, the Chinese Panda Gold Bullion Coin was issued in larger 5 ounce and 12 ounce sizes.

The Obverse of the Chinese Panda Gold Bullion Coin depicts the Temple of Heaven, and also has Chinese characters that translate to “People’s Republic of China”, and the year of issue. The Reverse of the Chinese Panda Gold Bullion Coin has a depiction of the Chinese Giant Panda that change every year, with the notable exception of the years 2001 and 2002, which share the same design.

The Chinese Panda Gold Bullion Coin is issued in a proof like condition, typically sealed in either a capsule, plastic, or both. This keeps the Chinese Panda Gold Bullion Coin looking new, as it is composed of 99.9% pure gold, which is a very soft metal. If the Chinese Panda Gold Bullion Coin becomes dinged or scratched, the Chinese Panda Gold Bullion Coin would keep its intrinsic gold value, but would lose any premium a Chinese Panda Gold Bullion Coin may typically have. The Chinese Panda Gold Bullion Coin is legal tender in China, and thus each coin is marked with a value in Yuan. From 2001 to present day those values are: 25 Yuan for the 1/20 ounce Chinese Panda Gold Bullion Coin, 50 Yuan for the 1/10 ounce Chinese Panda Gold Bullion Coin, 100 Yuan for the 1/4 ounce Chinese Panda Gold Bullion Coin, 200 Yuan for the 1/2 ounce Chinese Panda Gold Bullion Coin, and 500 Yuan for the 1 ounce Chinese Panda Gold Bullion Coin.

From 1982 until 2000, the Yuan Value for the Chinese Panda Gold Bullion Coin was: 5 Yuan for the 1/20 ounce Chinese Panda Gold Bullion Coin, 10 Yuan for the 1/10 ounce Chinese Panda Gold Bullion Coin, 25 Yuan for the 1/4 ounce Chinese Panda Gold Bullion Coin, 50 Yuan for the 1/2 ounce Chinese Panda Gold Bullion Coin, and 100 Yuan for the 1 ounce Chinese Panda Gold Bullion Coin.

After visiting a couple of the “traveling gold & silver merchants” who came to Mesquite, I made a call to Nevada Coin & Jewelry in Las Vegas… David was very helpful and professional. Their prices were the best I had seen… I left very satisfied with my trip and the deals we made. I will definitely go there again.

Been living in Vegas for many years and never had to sell or hock any of my items unfortunately as luck would have it that day did eventually find me and let me tell you is it a tough racket to find a decent place out here to do business with. Pawn shops are a joke and could care less about their customers and treated me like another number. Tried and tried and place after place the numbers where all over the place. Finally decided to go to these guys and I’m glad I did. They tested each piece of my jewelry right in from of me with some kind of xray machine. They explained how they calculated the price and paid me cash on the spot. Avery was very helpful and didn’t mind answering my questions and explaining what they do. I left feeling I got the best price for my items. I would recommend them to anyone looking to sell their jewelry.

Always a good experience here! Definitely the place in town I enjoy buying coins from, and I’d recommend them to anybody. Helpful staff, reasonable prices, and wide selection.

My friend and I came here to sell some coins and jewelry. We first saw Scott about some coins. He was very friendly and knew his stuff. Afterwards, he brought us over to Sheila who looked at our jewelry. She was also very nice and professional. We will definitely come back here again. GREAT PLACE!!!!

What inspired me to go to NV Coin and Jewelry was I was an ad on the TV for the shop. I was not too sure about going to NV Coin and Jewelry to sell my jewelry because I have been to many other pawn shops but haven’t found a good deal for my jewelry. After I went to Nevada Coin and Jewelry it was a big relief for me selling my jewelry for a good price.

This past Saturday I had the opportunity to meet the owner and team at Nevada Coin and Jewelry. I didn’t know what to expect but they made me feel both comfortable and safe. I went through my collection of jewelry, both broken pieces and things I thought were of no value at all. They took the time to explain what each carat weight was worth and they helped me sort through my items. I was amazed at what they gave me for things I would never wear or use. I would recommend you stop in and speak to them, you might be as pleasantly surprised as I was.

My wife cashed in some coins and we got top dollar. We have sold to others before but no more, we found a real professional store in Nevada Coin & Jewelry. “Thank You”

As a first timer in selling, I was a bit apprehensive. I did not know what to expect and was a little worried about a previous reviewers comments. Yes the office was stark and clinical. The staff however, more than made up for any downfall in the decor. Very helpful, polite and understanding to any ‘silly’ questions that were asked. All in all a pleasant experience, and one that should the opportunity arise I would go through again!

While vacationing in Las Vegas I did what a lot of people do I’m sure or at least that’s what I’m telling my wife ..I blew through the money I brought a little quicker than expected and I ended up having to shop my Rolex around to several dealers to save the trip. So I looked online for places, most offers over the phone were low and that’s if they would even quote me in the first place. I spoke to a guy at Nevada Coin and Jewelry who gave me a fair ball park price and a reasonable explanation as to why his number couldn’t be solid. Went down expecting to get the lower number and in fact Robert their Rolex expert said my Rolex was a better model then I had described. He paid me a higher number than he quoted. Thanks for saving my vacation guys.

My Aunt recently passed and she lived in the outskirts of Las Vegas. While my sister and I went through her estate we found a number of items that neither of us considered keeping, but our aunt was clear in her will that she wanted us to use her things to make a profit and in turn use that money to help our futures. We shopped around, especially not being from the area, and got a lot of negative experiences just on the phone. People were rude, uninformative, and really just gave us a feeling they wanted to rip us off. It made us think of those dirty pawn shops you “hear about”. Finally I called Nevada Coin and Jewelry and the whole day shifted! We described a few pieces of jewelry and they helped us figure out initially a general value based on the metal. Of course, they did explain the importance of actually coming in and examining the pieces individually. That level of service over the phone got us through the door. When we went to the spot we were greeted with the same level courtesy, but the professionalism when going over each item and it’s value was through the roof! They took the time to explain why each item was worth what amount and even gave us a little bit of history on the styles. At the end of the day, my sister and I walked away with a sizable amount of money to put towards my son’s college fund and my sister’s vet school. Thanks, Nevada Coin and Jewelry!
